THE EXPERIENCE

A place to practise.

Yunlai Villa is a Dharma Drum retreat house in Beitou, north Taipei, used for weekend Chan retreats where participants stay two nights. The next one is a youth retreat on 4-6 December 2026 for people aged 18-40 who have completed Dharma Drum's beginner course. It is a Chinese-language next step within the Dharma Drum system rather than an entry point for visitors.

What you can practise

  • Chan meditation

Where you will stay

Overnight in the villa; bring a sleeping bag or quilt.

DETAILS TO CLARIFY

  • The only upcoming run is for ages 18-40 who have finished Dharma Drum's beginner course.
  • Overnight stay is shown by the two-night timing and the sleeping-bag instruction, and by an earlier notice for this venue that says the retreat requires staying over.
  • Chinese-language; no English provision.
  • Not the same place as Yunlai Temple (DDM's administrative centre) or Nung Chan Monastery.
